Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) built this 4-6-0 ten wheeler in Febraury of 1907 as Atlantic Coast Line #954. (serial #30186, class K-5). In the 1920's, it was superheated, piston valves and Baker valve gears were added. The loco lasted for nearly 35 years before being scrapped in June of 1952 at the ACL Waycross, GA. yards. Specs - 64" drivers, 20x26" drivers, 185 psi, engine weight 153,800 lb, tractive effort of 25,553 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo. |
